Welcome to Brick Farm and Lady Lavelle Eggs!
Brick Farm is a fairy tale come true. As high school sweethearts, Brian and Nikki Lavelle dreamed of marriage, family, and country living on a farm. When they left for college, they were separated physically, but never in heart and mind. Always in each other’s thoughts, they were reunited again through one of life’s most trying circumstances, the birth of a very sick baby. Side by side and hand in hand, they fought to keep this baby alive and buoy each other’s spirits. Amazingly, this baby not only survived, but they now have six amazing children! The name Brick Farm is a combination of Brian and Nikki's names. Its original location was New Woodstock, NY, but they quickly outgrew their six-acre farm. Their original flock of 24 chickens has grown to a flock of about 5,000, and the Lavelles are now living out their high school dreams in Cazenovia, NY on a 132-acre farm, which is also home to some twenty goats, three dogs, and a cow.
After reading about cage-raised chickens and the questionable feed supply used on large commercial farms, Brian and Nikki committed themselves to providing a product that is not only fresh and local, but natural, and something they would be proud serve to their own children. Brick Farm prides itself in raising all-natural hens that are fed absolutely no animal by-products, preservatives, antibiotics or growth hormones. The hens’ diet also includes all-natural flax seed, making their eggs rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
The six Lavelle children are true ‘egg heads.’ They love eggs… hard-boiled, poached, scrambled; you name it — they love it!
